Fellowship of Christian Athletes is a student led organization for athletes and all they influence. Students in 6-8 meet once a week to fellowship and learn together. The club has service projects as well as fundraisers and a yearly weekend camp.

Are you interested in anything related to the medical fields? Like a doctor, nurse or even a physical therapist? Well, we have a group for you! Come to an after school meeting on Wed. Sept. 25 at 4pm in Mrs. Cook’s room (D211) to find out about a new club, HOSA-Future Health Professionals. This is your chance to belong as a charter member in middle school. If you have any questions, be sure to stop by Mrs. Cook’s or Mrs. Buehrer’s room to find out details!

National Junior Honor Society is a service organization for 7th and 8th grade students who exhibit scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship and character. Students must have an overall average of 90% in all classes, have outstanding conduct, and must attend monthly meetings.

Student Council is a group of students who work together to make Cockrill Middle School a better place by helping students, teachers and the community. They are involved with helping new students, promoting school spirit and giving back to the community.

Are you a 6th grader looking to make new friends and try something new? Then come join the 6th Grade Theatre Club! This is a club just for 6th graders where we will play acting games, meet new friends, and have a lot of fun! In the spring we’ll put on a 6th grade only show! Come try it out! We will meet Wednesdays from 8-8:35 before school in Mrs. Fox’s room, C116.

UIL Academic teams include 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students who compete in a variety of academic events. Writing, speaking, math, science, and history events are represented, among others. They compete in district meets and invitationals against other middle schools in the area, and meet throughout the fall and early spring.
